In one case, Hindu militants entered a worship gathering at a believer’s home by force. They shouted, “Stop These two men were beaten along with three others, causing internal injuries. In another incident, as many as 125 militants came to a church where 15 believers were beginning a worship service. With drums they shouted, “Stop conversions” and “he who talks in favor of only Hindus will rule the nation.” After the Christians left the building and locked it down, the militants broke windows and threatened to burn it. Police arrived on the scene, however, and stopped any further destruction. One believer, a college student, was severely beaten as they fled the building. |
